US Box Office Results: July 14 - 16, 2017

The third movie of the PLANET OF THE APES franchise was this weekend's top grossing movie, hauling in a decent $56.5 million in its first three days of release. It is the second best opening of the three movies, topping the first release in 2011. But, it is a drop of $16 million from the last release, in 2014. The $15 million dollar movie should gross back its production budget, with the domestic take, with international receipts providing most of the profit for the movie.

BABY Driver (#4) is doing relatively well, with a three week gross of over $73 million, more than doubling its $34 million production budget.

WONDER WOMAN continues to impress, adding another $6.9 million tot its total, now at $381 million. It is just six million behind GUARDIANS 2, for the #2 spot of the year.
