Final Broadcast Ratings: August 21, 2017

The Presidential Address interrupted primetime viewing, on Monday night, but for all four networks that covered the speech, ratings were mostly a reflection of its respective lead in programming. When finals are released this evening, the Presidential Address will be factored out of the nightly averages.

ABC and NBC were neck-and-neck, with ABC taking the top numbers in the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics, while NBC was right behind, taking viewership and the A25-54 demographic. BACHELOR IN PARADISE and AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR were tops in the A18-49 demo. BIP did better in the younger A18-34 demo, while ANW excelled in the A25-54 demo. MIDNIGHT TEXAS did lose 50% of its lead in, but was tops in the 10 PM hour.

The address didn't affect FOX as SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE pulled near identical numbers in the first hour as it did in the second hour.
